    Section Repairs

These repairs involve the most severe type of tire damage—cuts through the tire’s cords. Section repairs include sidewall, tread face, and shoulder reinforcement. To perform this repair, our vulcanizer cuts or bevels out the damaged area. The inside of the cut is then layered with new ply. Next, the cavity is filled with new rubber from the outside. Then, a high-pressure heat cure forces the rubber tightly into the cavity to complete the repair.

    Spot Repairs

Spot repairs address external tire damage that does not involve the tire’s cords. Examples include sidewall cuts, chipped lugs, shoulder cracks, and bead damage. During a spot repair, our vulcanizer cuts or bevels out the damaged area and fills the outside of the cavity with new rubber. A high-pressure heat cure then forces the rubber into the casing and repairs the tire.

Our Story

The humble beginnings of Gutschenritter Tire began in 1986 when Mark Gutschenritter was 23 years old. The foundation of the business was built off of eagerness, risk and Mark’s faith in his work ethic and, of course, his youth! Day to day operations began out of the garage at a rental and his first service truck- a 1970 Dodge D250. In 1991, Mark and his wife, Kim, bought four acres on State Road 67. As soon as the permits were issued, The Gutschenritter’s broke ground where the shop still stands today. Life as Mark knew it, would never be quite the same. The more Mark learned and the harder he worked, the faster the customers came. Today you can still find Mark working hard to provide the greater Southeast Wisconsin area impeccable tire sales and service.

Over the years, Mark has practiced a repertoire of various tire services, including car and farm tire services. In 1992, Mark began retreading. In 1998, he began vulcanizing tires. There is an art that Mark discovered in the vulcanization process. It had been said, he hopes to continue to vulcanize to pass the time after retirement. As Gutscheritter Tire grew, so did the tires. Agricultural and off-road vehicle wheels and tires quickly became the shops specialty.

Mark now has the joy of sharing his years of knowledge and business with his oldest son, Adam. Today, when walking into the shop, one would find a business built around integrity, honor and family. Gutschenritter Tire hopes to continue serving the farming community for years to come.
